In a major milestone for preventive healthcare in Delhi, Nova Neo Hospital has entered the Guinness World Records by collecting the highest number of cervical cancer screening samples within eight hours. The achievement highlights the growing role of hospital-led initiatives in large-scale disease prevention and early cancer detection.

The record was set during a mega cervical cancer screening camp organised by NovaNeo Hospital and Delhi Cancer Institute, in collaboration with All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal. The camp was held at the NovaNeo Hospital campus in Budh Vihar, where medical teams screened more than 500 women between 9 AM and 5 PM, making it one of the largest hospital-led cervical cancer screening initiatives conducted in the region in a single day.

Medical teams from both hospitals carried out examinations and awareness sessions, emphasizing that early detection and routine screening are the most effective tools in improving survival rates and treatment outcomes for cervical cancer patients. The program also demonstrated how hospital-community partnerships can bridge the gap between clinical expertise and grassroots healthcare awareness.

The initiative focused on combating Cervical Cancer, one of the most common yet preventable cancers among women in India. During the screening camp, doctors conducted Pap smear and HPV screening tests, while also providing counselling on risk factors, early warning symptoms, and the importance of regular screening for early detection. Women who required further medical evaluation were guided on the next steps to ensure continuity of care beyond the camp.

The collaboration with All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal played a key role in the success of the camp, enabling the initiative to reach a large and diverse group of women from different communities in a single day. Such outreach programs are increasingly becoming essential in promoting preventive healthcare and spreading awareness about life-saving screening tests.

The event also highlighted the advanced clinical capabilities of NovaNeo Hospital. The hospital has built a strong reputation for advanced paediatric and neonatal care, supported by its 30-bedded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) equipped with modern technology. The facility includes SLE 6000 infant ventilators for precise respiratory management, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) machines for neonatal respiratory failure, and whole-body cooling systems used in the treatment of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, enabling the hospital to manage high-risk and critically ill newborns effectively.

At the same time, Delhi Cancer Institute continues to focus on accessible and patient-friendly oncology care. The hospital operates a 20-bedded oncology daycare unit that functions seven days a week, ensuring uninterrupted treatment for cancer patients. With an efficient patient turnaround time of just two to three hours for chemotherapy sessions, the centre reduces waiting time while maintaining high-quality care. The hospital also offers cancer treatment 40–60% more affordable than many corporate hospitals, making advanced oncology services accessible to a larger population.

The success of the cervical cancer screening camp reflects a shared commitment by NovaNeo Hospital and Delhi Cancer Institute to preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and community outreach. Both institutions plan to organise similar health initiatives in the future to expand access to screening programs and quality medical care across Delhi, reinforcing the importance of early detection in the fight against cancer.
